Just months on from the ecstasy of victory at Mexico's Azteca stadium, followed closely by the agony of semi-final defeat to Argentina, both at the 2026 World Cup, Thomas Tuchel's England are back in competitive action.
Over the next few weeks, as we wait for the Premier League's return, the Three Lions are competing in the opening stage of this year's UEFA Nations League, arguably the third most prestigious international tournament available to teams in Europe.
Following on from a disappointing, but somewhat encouraging, loss to Spain (3-2) last Saturday, England are back in action against Czechia on Tuesday.
After that, it's on to one of the nation's greatest enemies from recent years, in Luka Modric's Croatia.
Tuchel's side may have dismantled the team now managed by Slaven Bilic at the World Cup this summer, but it was Croatia who claimed victory in the most important match of all, the semi-final at the 2018 tournament.

After that it's back to Czechia, who the Three Lions face again on Tuesday the 6th of October.
We'll be here throughout it all to cover the biggest moments from this mammoth of an international break.
