Leicester City have been put up for sale for more than £200m, with Thai owners King Power ready to walk away after 16 years, BBC Sport reports.
An eight-page sales brochure produced by US investment bank Citigroup, titled ‘Project Lineup’, is being used to market the one-time Premier League champions to prospective buyers.
The brochure lists the men’s and women’s teams alongside the club’s major assets, the 32,000-seat King Power Stadium and the Seagrave training ground, opened in 2020 and valued at £121m, as well as Belgian sister club OH Leuven.
The club’s physical assets are valued at more than £200m, though no specific figure is attached to the struggling teams themselves.
Citigroup forecasts turnover of more than £97m for the 2026 financial year, but the pitch omits the £103.6m in bank loans outlined in the 2025 accounts and losses of more than £180m racked up as the club yo-yoed between divisions.
The Citigroup stated in its portfolio that this is "a rare opportunity to acquire a club with an excellent track record of winning promotions to higher divisions."
The 5,000-1 title miracle of 2016 and the FA Cup win five years later feature prominently in the brochure; Leicester’s current home in League One, after back-to-back relegations, does not.
King Power bought the club from Milan Mandaric for £35m in 2010, with chairman Khun Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha taking charge after his father Khun Vichai died in a helicopter crash outside the stadium in 2019.
Whoever buys the Foxes inherits a club a world away from the sides contesting the 2026-27 Premier League season.
