The extent of Kevin De Bruyne's injury is not yet known

Manchester City confirmed on Wednesday that midfielder Kevin De Bruyne had suffered an injury in training. While no further details have emerged regarding the injury, club staff are reportedly worried that the Belgium star could be out for two months. The former Wolfsburg player has been City's talisman since joining the club in August 2015, and was many pundits' choice for Player of the Year during the 2017/18 season as he guided Manchester City to a 100-point total and a Premier League title. While Manchester City have the best squad in the Premier League, De Bruyne is a player like no other and will be sorely missed by the Premier League champions. https://twitter.com/ManCity/status/1029751957903298560 The injury and expected absence of De Bruyne was something discussed by the Belgian's teammate Kyle Walker when speaking at the premiere of All or Nothing: Manchester City, a behind-the-scenes documentary covering their title-winning season last year which is available exclusively on Amazon Prime. “Kevin is a great player and it’s just unfortunate that it’s happened to him in training but there’s more than enough depth in the squad," said the England international of his teammate. "We don’t just rely on one player. It’s a team game and whoever steps in will do well. Obviously it’s a big loss but we’ve got more than enough cover.” De Bruyne was also in attendance at the premiere, arriving on crutches. The Belgian midfielder suffered a similar injury against Everton back in 2016, when he was stretchered off after tearing ligaments in his knee and ankle. He missed two months of the 2015/16 Premier League season after that injury. https://twitter.com/VJRichMcCarthy/status/1029799977013395456
