Kevin Magnussen has walked away from a huge crash in the Belgium Grand Prix that caused the race to be red flagged.

The Renault driver lost control of his Formula 1 car as he crested the hill at Raidillon, after the Eau Rouge corner. The car flipped around and he was pitched into the tyre barrier at such high speed that his headrest was ripped from the car and thrown clear. The race director Charlie Whiting chose to red flag the race after the crash to allow the marshals time to repair the tyre barrier.
