Liverpool couldn't break down José Mourinho's Man United in today's early kick-off at Anfield, but Reds manager Jurgen Klopp clearly didn't think much of how his opponents set up.
United have started the season brightly, and sat top of the table after today's point at Liverpool — but Klopp told Sky Sports after the game that he doesn't believe United's defensive approach to today's game would be acceptable at Liverpool."
"I think the performance was worth three points. We were the better side. I think Man United came here for the point and they got it. We wanted three points and didn't get it."
The typically outspoken German certainly sounded as though he wasn't a fan of Mourinho's approach.
"I'm sure if we played like this... you could not do this at Liverpool. Obviously for Man United it is okay."
United only managed one shot on target throughout the game against Liverpool's five, and Liverpool centre-half Joel Matip would have put Jurgen Klopp's men ahead were it not for a David De Gea wondersave.
"It's quite difficult when a top-class team like Man United has that defensive approach. You're not going to get 20 chances. But we had enough, a big one in the first half, and a penalty I feel, we were unlucky."
