Jurgen Klopp confirms transfer interest in Ousmane Dembele

As if they needed any more attacking talent

Klopp can’t stop

Canal+ and RMC Sport have that Liverpool have agreed a fee for Lyon playmaker and France international Nabil Fekir, believed to be around £62 million, but it has since been revealed that he isn’t the only player on Jurgen Klopp’s ever-growing shopping list.

Both French news sources believe Ousmane Dembele is another Liverpool target and could well be attainable in the summer after enduring a difficult first season at the Nou Camp, despite joining Barcelona for £135 million at the start of the season.

Klopp was asked about the young winger after his side’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea and did little to quash the transfer story.

“Is he on the market? Now I’m interested” he said of the player who joined Klopp’s former club Borussia Dortmund in 2016.

Dembele’s first season in Barcelona has been plagued by injury trouble after a torn hamstring in his full league debut for the Catalan giants ruled him out for three months. He returned to the first team in January but once again picked up an injury against Real Sociedad which kept him out for another month.

He has, however, made 20 appearances in all competitions and shown his considerable talent whenever he has been given the opportunity by Ernesto Valverde, as well as scoring an important goal against Chelsea in the Champions League.
