Jurgen Klopp claims the wind is affecting Liverpool’s tactics

There are a few things that Jurgen Klopp would be well within his rights to blame for his stuttering start at Liverpool.

It would be fair for him to blame injuries to key players, or a need to bolster the squad with January reinforcements. But the wind? That's taking it too far, surely. Liverpool can climb to 7th in the Premier League with victory over Sunderland at Anfield, but failure to win would see them enter the new year in 10th - the position in which Klopp's predecessor Brendan Rodgers left the club.
