Jurgen Klopp says he’s ‘half pissed’ in Champions League final interview

Before Saturday night's Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, Jurgen Klopp had never won a European trophy. He had lost a Champions League final as Borussia Dortmund manager against bitter rivals Bayern Munich, and shortly after joining Liverpool he lost a Europa League final against permanent owners of the Europa League, Sevilla. He lost last year's Champions League final to Real Madrid - a 3-1 defeat assisted massively by Loris Karius - and for some it looked like he may never win one at all. On Saturday that all changed though, as his Liverpool side - tougher and better than last year - defeated Spurs 2-0 in an unattractive but incredibly effective performance at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid. The celebrations were instantaneous and real, and no one was celebrating more than the German.
