Diego Simeone has completely transformed Atletico Madrid into one of the most resolute and stubborn opponents in European club football.
If you’re being critical of their style – and you really shouldn’t be because they’re an excellent side and are currently joint-top of La Liga – then you might suggest that they have a tendency to be quite dull at times, especially when viewed against the tiki-taka technicians at Barcelona or the Galacticos of Real Madrid.
It seems that one journalist at the Vicente Calderon might agree with this point because they let their attention wander during the match between Atletico and Levante.
