It appears that the rumours surrounding Wayne Rooney and a move to the Chinese Super League won't go away after Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has refused to guarantee his future at the club.
Given that the transfer window for the Chinese Super League closes this week, Rooney's future has been the subject of frequent speculation, especially since he hasn't been guaranteed first-team action.
"You have to ask him. Of course I can't guarantee [he will be here]. I can't guarantee that I'm here next week, how can I guarantee that a player is here next season?", Mourinho said.
It has been widely reported that Rooney has a £35million-a-year offer on the table and is strongly considering the offer.
Rooney is contracted to the club until 2019 but he has not started a Premier League game since December 17.
