Jose Mourinho was class personified after Manchester United’s most recent stalemate

Jose Mourinho isn't always the abominable bastard that he appears to be.

Sure he's poked a few eyes and shoved a few 65-year-olds but who hasn't? Sometimes, he's actually something of a class act. On Saturday, the Manchester United manager proved that he's capable of exhibiting more than just arseholery with his show of respect to the Burnley side who frustrated his men for 90 minutes. Facing 37 shots, the Clarets withstood every attack and due in no small part to some Tom Heaton heroics in goal, a 0-0 stalemate was played out. Mourinho, visibly frustrated towards the end of the first half, was sent to the stands at the break and he refused to speak to the media after the game, sending assistant Rui Faria in his place. But Mourinho was not annoyed by the resolute Burnley side and he admirably showed his appreciation for the defensive shift turned in by Sean Dyche's team. ESPN reporter Andy Mitten revealed that the Portuguese spoke briefly to his own players before he left the home dressing room at Old Trafford and went to shake hands with each of the Burnley players in order to show how much respect he had for their performance.
