The Daily Mail report that Henderson will put pen to paper on a revised £100,000-a-week deal in the next few days, ending speculation that he could be on his way to Manchester City in the summer.
It should come as a boost to beleaguered boss Brendan Rodgers, who has had to fend off rumours concerning a number of his stars in recent weeks - Raheem Sterling chief among them.
Henderson has been promoted to Liverpool's vice-captain this season after being described by Rodgers as the "moral compass" of the squad, and is expected to take the armband when Steven Gerrard leaves for LA Galaxy.Explore more on these topics:
