JOE’s Fantasy Football tips – week 10

Tom Victor

After we did so well with our tips in Week 8, we decided to take some time off and return refreshed.

Last time out, two of our three selections found the net, but we can’t choose obvious picks like Kevin de Bruyne and Glenn Murray every week.

So here you have it, our players for week 10…

Steven Fletcher – Striker – £5.0m

You’ve probably heard all the stats going round about new Sunderland managers beating Newcastle in their first Tyne-Wear Derby, and if Sam Allardyce wants to join the club he’ll need his strikers to be on-song.

Fletcher has only scored two league goals this season – against Leicester and West Ham – but found the net four times in Scotland’s last two international games and will hope to add to that total on Sunday.

Xherdan Shaqiri – Midfield – £6.8m

Stoke’s marquee signing has not quite hit the heights anticipated of him, but the former Bayern Munich winger has been slowly improving week by week.

With a home match against Watford coming up, Mark Hughes’ team will need a player of Shaqiri’s guile to unlock the Hornets’ mean back four.

Hector Bellerin – Defender – £5.8m

Bellerin showed brilliant maturity against Bayern Munich to recover from Douglas Costa embarrassing him in the first half and go on to not only keep a clean sheet but also lay on the second goal for Mesut Özil.

The Spaniard will look to have similar attacking success against another young full-back in Everton’s Brendan Galloway, with Leighton Baines still waiting to return from injury.
