United to bid for Sterling

Oh boy, this isn’t going to go down well with Liverpool fans.

According to The Sun, Manchester United have joined the £50m battle for Raheem Sterling after talks stalled over a new deal at Anfield.

Sterling has hinted that he could leave Liverpool for a new challenge in the summer, but if he joins United he can expect to join this lot on the football Judas list.

Depay ready to leave

PSV manager Phillip Cocu has hinted that £20m-rated Netherlands star Memphis Depay is ready to quit the club in the summer.

The winger’s brilliant performances this season have increased rumours that Manchester United are preparing a bid, with Louis van Gaal known to be a fan after taking the 21-year-old to the World Cup last year.

“I think he is ready for the next step, and I think that he will leave,” said Cocu.

Arsenal eye Najar

Anderlecht’s Honduran winger Andy Najar has issued a ‘come and get me’ plea to Arsenal, report the Daily Mirror.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season on the back of his involvement at the World Cup and is valued at around £4m.

That fee wouldn’t prove a problem for Arsenal, who may be encouraged to make a bid after Najar said: “I would like to go to English football and have always had a team in England which has been my dream – Arsenal. I keep that in mind.

“When I was little I liked Thierry Henry and I always had this dream of reaching Arsenal.”
