5-Word Transfers: Falcao, Austin, Hummels, United, Bale

Falcao may end up staying in England after all...

Falcao to stay in England?

Despite the consensus that Radamel Falcao will head back to Monaco when his loan at Manchester United expires, The Sun claim the Colombian striker might still be playing in the Premier League next season.

Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked with El Tigre as another option in attack, although both will hope to pay less than his reported £40m asking price. Just four goals all season has surely seen his value plummet.

Charlie Austin to Bournemouth?

Bournemouth are readying a bid to snap up QPR sharp-shooter Charlie Austin, according to The Sun.

Despite the striker’s 15 goals this season, the R’s have found themselves circling the top-flight drain – with Bournemouth looking set to replace them.

It’s understood that the Cherries will make a lucrative offer to Austin should they achieve promotion, although they are bound to face stiff competition for his signature.

Hummels keen on United move

The Mats Hummels to Manchester United saga continues to drag on ahead of the summer transfer window.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly willing to offload some of their under-performing stars at the end of the campaign – with Hummels given a price tag of £36m.

It’s thought the centre-back’s preferred destination is the Premier League, and the Metro report that Louis van Gaal has the Germany international high on his wish list.

Manchester interest in Bale

Manchesters City and United are set to do battle to sign Gareth Bale this summer, claim The Mirror.

The former Spurs player has found himself out of favour with Real Madrid supporters this season, prompting the two Premier League giants to keep a keen eye on his situation.

Bale has stated his intention to to stay in Spain, but that decision could be out of his hands.
