Joe Rogan calls Holloway's incredible last minute KO 'the best of all time'

Outstanding from ‘Blessed’

Max Holloway’s staggering last second knockout of Justin Gaethje has been labelled the ‘best of all time’ by Joe Rogan.

The American was taking on Gaethje for the BMF title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night, and looked to be on his way to a points victory.

But with just seconds remaining of the final round, ‘Blessed’ laid down a gauntlet to his opponent, seemingly encouraging him to try and knock him out to win the fight.

Pointing to the middle of the Octagon, he invited Gaethje onto him. Although his compatriot landed a punch, it did nothing to sway Holloway, who then unleashed absolute fury on him.

Holloway returned the favour with a titanic overhand right that sent his opponent to sleep and sparked absolute bedlam in the arena.

In the post-fight reaction, Joe Rogan labelled it the “greatest KO of all time”, talkSPORT reports.

Speaking to Rogan afterwards, Holloway sent a message to UFC champions Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev.

He said: “‘El Matador’ [Ilia Topuria] he is running from the bull at 145. Tell him to sign the contract. Islam [Makhachev] is famous for defending against [featherweights] right? I’m him. I’m right here!

“Any weight, I’m gladiator. I don’t care, whoever’s next sign the dotted line.”
