The 30-year-old England international is on loan with Serie A side Torino this season and faring well without winning rave reviews. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola appeared to make his mind up about Hart 0.6 seconds after he stepped foot into the club's Etihad Campus training base.
Sources close to Hart let it be known, before the summer transfer window closed, that he was keen to play Champions League football but was also open to a move to Everton. In the end, he packed his bags and picked up an Italian phrase-book at Manchester Airport.
Hart, and his people, may be dead into a cross-city move to Old Trafford but it remains to be seen whether José Mourinho or any leading figure at United feels likewise.
