Japan win the World Cup – for robots (Video)

JOE

Japan have won the RoboCup, the world’s annual robotic soccer championship.

Over 40 countries competed for the coveted title, but it was a group from the University of Chiba in Japan who emerged victorious.

They beat the hosts China in the final.

We just hope the robot who got the winning goal did a Peter Crouch celebration.

We’ll be honest, it’s not the most exciting sport to watch, but you do have to have a certain amount of steel about you to participate.

Not one bit sorry.
