Coming in as reigning champions, Arsenal are set to keep the momentum going and retain the championship, as well as looking towards the Champions League after their finals defeat on penalties against PSG.
Amongst the Gunners, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool will all represent England in the 2026-27 Champions League.
As well as Aston Villa making an appearance in the top flights after a promising season under Unai Emery’s tenure.
Conference League champions, Crystal Palace, will make an appearance in the Europa League, alongside Sunderland and Bournemouth.
Brighton, who came in 8th last season, will be the sole Premier League team in the coming Conference League.
Lots of changes over the course of the summer, from player signings to new coaches in English top flight teams like Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City, just to name a few.
The Liverpool centre-back-turned-pundit Jamie Carragher believes Manchester City have what it takes to become champions once again.
Pep Guardiola’s replacement, Enzo Maresca, has been handed an aspiring team who only came 7 points shy from Arsenal last season.
Carragher makes note that City was not in full shape last season and that this time around it will be their turn to take it home.
Speaking on the Football Ramble podcast earlier this week, Carragher said: “I think City will win the league.
“Manchester United won’t win the league,” Carragher said, “Manchester United doesn't feel like they’re on this mission to go and get this big name.
“Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans… sort of what you might think are clever [signings], people not expecting that.”
Carragher continues saying that his former team, Liverpool, are in a similar situation and doubts that the new permanent Coach, Iraola, has yet to build a winning team.
Albeit, Liverpool kick off their Premier League debut in Newcastle on 23 August, while United take on Hull in an away game the same day.
