Liverpool have made it to the Champions League final.

Despite going down 4-2 to Roma in the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday, they progressed to the Kiev final against Real Madrid thanks to a 7-6 win on aggregate.

Understandably, the Liverpool players and coaching staff spent a good while after full-time celebrating their victory with the travelling fans. The celebrations continued as the team returned to the away dressing room, as photos which reached social media revealed.

Many of the club’s supporters were quick to spot that James Milner was missing from the images from the dressing room, this one included:

Where could he possibly have been? Was he just out of shot, necking a few celebratory glasses of Ribena? Perhaps he was trying to scrub that Champions League logo off his face?

For those wondering, the 32-year-old soon revealed where he was via his Instagram post. Milner had actually been summoned to the drug testing room after full-time, as is standard procedure following Uefa games.

‘Looked like great scenes in the dressing room,’ he posted. ‘I heard them from the drug testing room.’
