It looks like James Collins definitely wasn’t diving on Sunday, anyway.

Niall Quinn accused the West Ham defender of trying to con the referee by clutching his head after he appeared to handle the ball during Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Swansea.

The Sky Sports pundit suggested that Collins had feigned injury in order to get out of conceding a penalty which referee Lee Mason didn’t award despite despite furious protests from the Swans.

Collins has since uploaded a photo to Instagram of his very swollen head, saying:

“Definitely got a knee on the back of the head, I’m not a man to rub my head for no reason… I’m not the ref, I’m not there to decide if it’s a penalty or not.”
