Jadon Sancho denies old Twitter account was his after tweets resurfaced
Don't worry, he's not cancelled
Jadon Sancho has denied that a Twitter account which appears to be his old one is not him, and that his current account, @Sanchooo10, is the only one he has ever owned.
This Twitter that somebody’s has found is not me, this has been my only account!! 🤣🤣🤦🏽♂️
— Jadon Sancho (@Sanchooo10) March 24, 2019
The account has now been suspended, but contained nothing more offensive than expressing support for Chelsea.
Sickening, I know. Other than that, the tweets contained nothing more interesting than details about his trips to Nando's and his goalscoring antics in Watford's youth teams.
Sancho made his first competitive start for England on Friday night as the Three Lions trounced the Czech Republic 5-0 in their first Euro 2020 qualifier.
The 18-year-old showed glimpses of brilliance while frustrating on occasion, losing the ball cheaply. But his assist for Raheem Sterling's opener and many a dangerous dribble showed why he is so highly rated and why he is destined to reach the very top.
Sancho wasn't the only teenager Gareth Southgate trusted to get the job done on Friday either, as Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi came off the bench for the last twenty minutes. That substitution made history, as it was the first time in 138 years that two players aged 18 or younger had played in a competitive game for England.
The future is bright. Even is Sancho's old tweets aren't.
