Jack Grealish has donated £5,000 to help pay for a 20-year-old's leukaemia treatment in the US.
Dylan Lamb from Staffordshire was recently told that the cancer had returned to his body and would likely only have months to live.
Friends and family are trying to raise £1m to get him to the United States for treatment and Grealish was one of those generous enough to donate a sizeable fee of £5,000 towards his treatment.
"When you're told by your consultant that you've got weeks maybe months to live it takes a lot to keep him upbeat and this is just tremendous to him," Lamb's mother, Kim Veitch told the BBC.
She added that she was "blown away" by all of the support for her son.
Lamb was 19 and in his first year of university when he was first diagnosed with leukaemia.
After finding out that the cancer had returned, Lamb was told that he would need a stem cell transplant which would require him going into remission and requiring CAR-T treatment - something that is not available for his age group in the UK.
On the other hand, this form of treatment can be paid for in the US as part of a clinical trial. CAR-T treatment involves altering immune cells in a laboratory to attach to and kill cancer cells.
In addition to the fundraiser, Dylan's close friend Fred Trevelyan will attempt the Three Peaks challenge with other friends to raise money.
"He's a key member of our group all of us lads we're like a family and none of us could do life without him."
At the time of writing, the fundraiser currently has raised nearly £150,000.
