Diop, 26, was arrested on Sunday
Issa Diop was arrested in France after allegedly sending “repeated death threats” to his ex-partner.
The 26-year-old was arrested in his home city of Toulouse on Sunday and was detained after the alleged death threats were over “divorce payments” to his former partner.
A source told La Depeche newspaper: “He is suspected of having repeatedly threatened his partner, aged 29, whom he is separating from.
“Their divorce, which began months ago, is taking place in a climate of conflict.”
They added that the current situation is “tense”.
Diop meanwhile reportedly said that the threats “were not serious”.
LBC added that a complaint was filed against Diop last week, however they had to wait until he returned to the UK.
Last season, Diop made 25 appearances, scoring one goal for Fulham after joining from West Ham in the summer. Fulham finished 10th in their first season back in the Premier League.
