Injury update on Leicester star Kante is bad news for Arsenal and Spurs

Leicester City’s title challenge has been as impressive as it is unlikely, but plenty have been quick to point out their good fortune with the fitness of key players.

While rivals have been without star men for extended periods (Alexis Sanchez for Arsenal, Jan Vertonghen for Spurs), the Foxes have rarely been without their most important team members for more than a couple of weeks.

And that good fortune is set to continue, with Claudio Ranieri confirming he could welcome back midfield lynchpin N’Golo Kante as soon as this weekend.

Leicester travel to Watford, knowing that they could end the weekend six points clear at the top of the table if results go their way.

“Tomorrow I decide. He could play,” Ranieri said of the Frenchman, who sat out the midweek draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Kante has missed just three games all season, including both of Leicester’s cup defeats, and the club are winless when he has not been involved.

As we approach the final few games of the campaign, the former Caen man could prove invaluable.
