We really hope this doesn't apply to you

Have you been stung?

It was a mere matter of hours after confirmation that Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather was a done deal when rumours of exorbitant ticket prices did the rounds online.

Reports of $2,750 for the cheapest tickets for the mega-fight which will take place on August 26 at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.

There is no doubt that the bout is the sporting event of the year and, fearing that those already crazy prices would only increase, some fight fans rushed to online ticket vendors to ensure that they’d have a seat for McGregor’s boxing debut against the 49-0 legend.

Well, if you’re one such fight fan, we’ve got bad news for you.

UFC president Dana White, who played a role in getting both men to agree to the clash, has revealed that tickets have not yet been released to the public and that he’d been made aware of the fact that eager fans had been tricked into buying fake tickets.

“A fan told me he bought tix already. I want ALL fans to know that we have not even come up with a price for tix yet and tix ARE NOT for sale yet,” White wrote on Instagram.

“Don’t get fucked by These DIRTBALLS trying to sell tix already. When we announce tix on sale that’s when it’s real.”
