If this really is Manchester City’s new home shirt then it’s going to go down a treat with fans

So fresh and so clean

Manchester City’s new kit will be a historic one as it will be the first in Premier League history to feature an exclusive sleeve sponsor.

Last week, the Etihad club announced that they had brought South Korean tyre manufacturer Nexen Tire on board to feature on their sleeves, after the Premier League announced that teams would be allowed secondary sponsors on their sleeves from next season on.

And just a week after that partnership was announced, it would appear that images of City’s home shirt have leaked online.

Reliable football strip website FootyHeadlines.com unveiled the below images, believed to depict the home jersey for Pep Guardiola’s side for the 2017/18 season.

The jersey, as was to be expected, is sky blue but, unlike this season’s effort, the design is much plainer and cleaner.

City have done away with the greyish sleeves and navy trim on the collar in favour of a whiter hue.

The crisp design is set to go down a storm with City supporters because, if the leaked images prove true, this will surely rank among the more beautiful home shirts for the 2017/18 season.
