Ian Wright blocks Arsenal fans who take issue with his Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain tweet

Ian Wright received a lot of backlash for a tweet on Friday morning.

The Arsenal legend offered his support to former Gunner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and this didn't go down well with some of the Arsenal supporters who follow Wright on Twitter. It was an innocent, inoffensive and well-meaning tweet, but some Arsenal fans aren't happy with their former player after his departure from the club at the end of the transfer window. The former striker tweeted on Friday night, saying he had blocked some fans of his former club. He wrote:

"Can't believe how many Arsenal fans I'm having to block over the ox tweet. I don't want people like you following me. Go **** yourselves."

Wright's support for Oxlade-Chamberlain is in stark contrast to one of his former teammates. Oxlade-Chamberlain was a second-half substitute for Liverpool in their 3-2 win over Leicester City on Saturday.
