Harvey Elliott slaps back at Man United fan after disgusting TikTok comment

Harvey Elliott has responded to abuse on his TikTok page with a zinger that will only endear him further to Liverpool fans.

The 18-year-old suffered a dislocated ankle against Leeds United on Sunday and had to be stretchered off the pitch before undergoing surgery.

Leeds’ Pascal Struijk was sent off for tackle that led to the injury – a decision Leeds unsuccessfully appealed, despite Elliott himself saying on social media that the tackle didn’t merit a red card.

Since the unfortunate event, the midfielder has received overwhelming support from fans of all clubs on social media, wishing him a speedy recovery, for which he has offered his public thanks.

However, as with everything on social media, there has been a minority of rival fans taking the opportunity to rub salt in the wounds and mock him for suffering a potentially career threatening injury.

One particular abusive comment came under a TikTok, posted by a Liverpool fan, that stated he will ‘only come back stronger.

@liverpoolchampions1What a player and only 18 years old he will come back stronger?❤️ #harveyelliott #liverpool #lfc #liverpoolfc♬ original sound – Liverpool lfc

A Manchester United supporter wrote in a comment: “He’s not walking like that anymore.”

Elliott saw the comment though, and put the troll firmly back in their place, responding: “Crazy though how I have more legs than United have trophies in the past eight years, X.” Ouch.

And it worked. The United fan, presumably rattled by actually getting a response and feeling guilty for his original comment, quickly backtracked and replied: “Haha, fair enough. You’re a baller.”
