Drama? With Man United? Never…
It’s taken less than a week of Manchester United’s pre-season preparations for drama to ensue as Harry Maguire has been slammed for liking a post that claimed Cristiano Ronaldo was upset.
Reports suggested that the forward was left “upset” after he was told that his wage would be slashed by 25 per cent, meaning he would only pocket a mere £360,000 a week.

Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford
Ronaldo has also yet to return to training as he continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with clubs including Chelsea eyeing up the 37-year-old. Ronaldo explained he would miss training due to ‘family reasons’, which United accepted and approved.
But now Ronaldo’s strop at having his wage cut has caused extra controversy as United captain Maguire liked a post referring to the fact that he was incensed by the club’s decision.

United fans were angered by Maguire’s actions
As per BBC Sport, Maguire has since removed the like but it hasn’t stopped fans criticising the defender yet again and questioning his role at the Red Devils.
One fan said: “This Harry Maguire cost us £80m and he has only brought pain and disappointment. He needs to f*ck out (sic) of my Club.”

A third said: “Harry Maguire couldn’t hide his true intentions for too long. No way a failure like him should have the opportunity to disrespect the Cristiano Ronaldo.”
United are preparing to fly to Thailand this weekend as they face a series of pre-season fixtures, including games against Liverpool, Melbourne Victory, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.
