Stan Collymore has warned Harry Kane that he would be showing a lack of ambition if he turns down a move to Bayern Munich.
Kane has just 12 months left on his current deal at Tottenham and Bayern Munich have tried to test Spurs' resolve by making two bids.
Both of those have fallen well below Daniel Levy's £120m asking price for the England captain, which has put off the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United from entering the race for this signature.
The forward is yet to give any indicator on where his future lies but Collymore believes that the 29-year-old has achieved all he can at Spurs and should try and force through a move to Bayern.
"He’s got to go. He’s done everything he needs to do at Tottenham Hotspur; there is nothing else left for him there now, and if he doesn’t push for a transfer then I am questioning his ambition," the former Liverpool striker wrote in his Caught Offside column.
"If Kane continues to sit there quietly and make it easy for Daniel Levy to turn down £60m – £70m bids from a club like Bayern Munich, who are always in with a chance of winning the Bundesliga and the Champions League, then surely he doesn’t really have any desire to leave Spurs.
"If the notion is that he’s settled and he wants to stay in London, that to me shows a distinct lack of ambition. Let’s not forget – this is a world-class player who does not know what it feels like to lift a major trophy. Surely the time has come for Kane to be demanding silverware.
"Considering football doesn’t wait for anybody if I were Kane, I would be doing all I can behind the scenes to force a move to Bayern Munich because it could very well be his last chance to win major domestic silverware."
Spurs are expecting Kane to return to pre-season training on Wednesday, as confirmed by Spurs boss, Ange Postecoglou, despite admitting he hadn't had "any assurances" on the forward's future.
