A Greenpeace protestor parachuted into the Allianz Arena just before France and Germany kicked off in their Euro 2020 Group F match on Tuesday night.

The activist, whose parachute displayed a message saying, “Kick Out Oil, Greenpeace,” almost collided with people in the stands of Bayern Munich’s stadium, avoiding them by a matter of feet, after he got caught on the spidercam equipment in the stadium

He was removed from the stadium by security after he managed to land on the field of play.

Journalist Max Merrill, attending the game for DW News, tweeted: “Can’t believe I just caught this on video. Parachuted into the stadium, got caught in the spider cam and nearly crashed into the crowd. Hope he’s ok!”

Photographs captured by Getty Images showed the protestor being taken away.
