It has emerged that Emmanuel Adebayor’s expected transfer from Spurs to Aston Villa was scuppered by God.
The 31-year-old was on the verge of agreeing a move to Villa Park on Tuesday afternoon, but he kiboshed the deal at the last minute because he felt that God, aged infinity, did not approve.
