Gianluigi Buffon belting out the national anthem will make you feel as Italian as him
Gianluigi Buffon is one of those rare players that more or less every football fan seems to admire.
Whether its the longevity of his brilliant career or just the fact that he got as excited as any of us at Leicester City winning the league, you can't help but like the bloke.
Now 38, Gigi is leading Italy in what he hopes will be his penultimate major tournament, having announced earlier in the year that he intends to retire after the World Cup in Russia in a couple of years.
Before the first game against Belgium in Lyon, camera lenses trained on him first of all as his teammates shaped up to sing their national anthem. Eyes closed for a few seconds as he psyched himself up, the legendary goalkeeper proceeded to belt out the words...
Buffon is the best Italian. https://t.co/ubaMh5IgVN
