German boxer Eduard Gutknecht was rushed to hospital after collapsing following his defeat to George Groves at Wembley Arena.
The 34-year-old suffered a unanimous points defeat to his British opponent, who retained his WBA International super-middleweight title after a fourth straight win.
Groves, who is undefeated since losing his WBC super-middleweight title fight to Badou Jack in September last year, sent out a message of support to his opponent in which he admitted to being ‘deeply concerned’ by the development.

It is not the first time this year that a boxer has been rushed to hospital after a bout at Wembley.
Back in March, Nick Blackwell suffered bleeding on the skull after his unsuccessful British middleweight title defence against Chris Eubank Jr and was placed in an induced coma.
Blackwell would leave his coma days later, but made the decision to retire from boxing soon after.
Gutknecht, who is being treated in the same hospital as Blackwell, has received messages of support from across the boxing community.

Meanwhile, Groves has been highly commended for his performance, with other current and former world title holders praising the 28-year-old and many suggesting he can’t be too far away from another world title shot.
