A ‘genius’ Joao Felix assist has gone viral after he ‘single-handedly put it on a plate’ for Christopher Nkunku to open the scoring for Chelsea against Barrow.
Taking the ball with two defenders in front of him, he took one touch before making a deft chip straight to the foot of Nkunku, who dispatched on the volley clinically.
Described as ‘genius’ by fans, it’s an assist that only certain players can execute successfully.
After the opener within eight minutes, the floodlights well and truly opened for Chelsea.
Nkunku bagged his second of the evening only 15 minutes in, before a Joao Felix free-kick cannoned off Barrow goalkeeper Paul Farman for an own-goal.
Enzo Maresca ringed the changes, bringing in 11 players before the game.
However, it is well renowned Chelsea’s strength in depth is huge and the Blues truly flexed their muscles in the first-half at Stamford Bridge.
A great first-half outing from Felix and Chelsea was completed, who look all-but-certain of making it into the next round of the Carabao Cup.
