Gary Neville reveals his favourite England player to coach

"He's a challenge"

He might enjoy legendary status at Manchester United, but Gary Neville’s favourite player to coach belongs to rivals Arsenal.

Neville told Football Beyond Borders that Jack Wilshere is the player he’s enjoyed working with the most during his time as an England coach, describing the midfielder as “a challenge”.

Wilshere has played 23 times for England since Neville was appointed as an assistant to head coach Roy Hodgson, scoring his first goals for his country earlier this year against Slovenia.

Another Englishman could become the new Valencia boss’ new signing, with Jamie Vardy linked with a January move to Spain.

But if Arsenal were to listen to offers for Wilshere, it seems Neville wouldn’t mind putting out feelers for the 23-year-old.
