Gary Lineker was forced to pull out of Wednesday night's Champions League coverage on BT Sport due to a Covid-19 scare, after an 'important member' of the team who worked on Tuesday night's show tested positive for the virus.
Lineker announced on Twitter that he would not be presenting the show, saying: "Massively disappointed not to be on BT Sport tonight for such a great game.
"A late shout after a positive Covid test to an important member of our team.
"Obeyed our strict social distancing guidelines, but it was decided to be ultra cautious & get tested before returning to work."
Jake Humphrey replaced Lineker as presenter of the Manchester City vs Paris Saint-Germain coverage, joined by a punditry panel of Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott and Owen Hargreaves.
