It helped add to what was already going to be a terrific atmosphere at Dublin's Aviva Stadium for Friday's World Cup qualifier between Ireland and Wales.
You would expect with these balmy conditions that most players would not find the need for thermal comfort.
However, this did not apply to Wales' Gareth Bale.
The Real Madrid man was noticeably sporting some gloves as he took to the field for the warm-up and they remained on throughout the game.
