Wales were comfortable victors

Wales and Ireland met at the Cardiff City ground tonight for a clash that sparked intrigue among many viewers. Wales were going into their first match with Ryan Giggs as head coach, while Ireland went into the game with no Harry Arter, James McClean or Shane Long.

Wales unsurprisingly cruised to a 4-1 victory, scoring three goals in the first half. The second goal came from Gareth Bale, who was deployed in a free roaming central role. Of course, Bale drifted towards the right wing, in order to unleash his trademark trick of cutting inside and smashing the ball top bins.

And he did that, very very well. It brought back memories for Spurs fans of the 2012/13 season, when this sort of goal was a weekly occurrence.
