Gareth Bale has reportedly urged Real Madrid’s board to go and sign Liverpool’s Ben Woodburn

Barcelona are also said to be sniffing around

Yet again, it’s that time of year where Gareth Bale gets linked with a move to Manchester United.

As we told you earlier in the week, reports in Spain are, for what seems like the millionth time, tipping Bale to move to Old Trafford in the weeks ahead as Real Madrid look to tie up a move for Kylian Mbappe.

After his heroics with Wales in France last summer, Bale has endured a difficult season with injury for his club – part of the reason Florentino Perez is said to be open to offers for him. But while he’s been recuperating from his recent injury setbacks, it’s nice to know that he’s been putting his time to good use by taking an active role in Real’s player recruitment department.

According to more reports from Spain – and we all know that reports in the Spanish press are extremely reliable – Bale has advised the club’s board to make a move for Liverpool starlet, Ben Woodburn.

According to Don Balon, Barcelona are also sniffing around 17-year-old Woodburn, who became Liverpool’s youngest ever scorer earlier in the season when he scored in the League Cup win over Leeds. The report claims that Bale, one of his international teammates, has warned the European champions to make a move for the youngster ahead of their great El Clasico rivals.

Needless to say, there are absolutely no quotes in the report, and the thought of Liverpool allowing the Spanish giants to make a move for one of their most exciting youth products in years seems a bit far-fetched. We wouldn’t spend too much time worrying about this one if we were you, dear Liverpool supporters.
