Former Brazil international Denilson was reprimanded by a referee for a gesture he made towards a lineswoman during a charity game this week.
The ex-winger, who made 61 appearances for the Brazil national team, was spotted making a heart symbol in the direction of the official, who had just flagged him offside.
Denilson tried to casually chip the goalkeeper before lineswoman Eircles Artuzi put her flag up and as the player jogged away, he attempted to flirt with the woman running the line.
The referee in charge of the game was clearly unimpressed and pulled the 40-year-old up on it, furiously scolding him and giving him something of a final warning.
The 2002 World Cup winner was taken aback by the telling off as what he perceived to be a piece of light-hearted banter was taken as dissent by the woman in charge.
Denilson became the world’s most expensive player in 1998 when Real Betis paid Sao Paulo £21.5 million to bring him to Spain.
He hung up his boots in 2010 after a brief spell in Greece.
