We all want to emulate our sporting heroes. We pretend to be them when we play in the park. Some kids are even lucky enough to experience the privilege of standing next to them as they enter the pitch pre-game.
For mascots at Real Madrid, most of them will be hoping to be paired with Cristiano Ronaldo, the club's all time leading goalscorer and star player.
Real Madrid beat Getafe 3-1 yesterday, with Ronaldo bagging a brace in the process. For one lucky mascot though, his favourite moment will have come before the game as he walked out alongside Ronaldo before the game.
He was so overcome with joy - bless him - that he copied Ronaldo's every move, from waving to the crowd, right down to the superstitious sprint and jump Ronaldo does before the pre-game anthem.

Ronaldo clearly found it endearing, and it's hard not to. This kid's enthusiasm takes us back to a time when it we all dreamed of meeting our heroes and emulating their actions on the pitch.
You go, kid! Never let anyone tell you you're not Cristiano Ronaldo. Need to work on that jump, though, if he's going to score headers like Ronaldo.
