WATCH: Christian Eriksen’s free-kick seals memorable comeback for Spurs against Juventus

What. A. Game.

Tottenham could have probably had a better start, to be fair.

Not even ten minutes into their Champions League last 16 first leg against Juventus, the Italian champion, Mauricio Pochettino’s men were 2-0 down.

Many teams might have imploded at this point, but not this Spurs side.

Harry Kane would later round Gigi Buffon to halve the deficit and as the first 45 minutes drew to a close, it was the visitors playing the better football in Turin.

Gonzalo Higuain, responsible for both Juve’s goals, missed a stoppage time penalty to keep it 2-1 at the break.

After it, Spurs continued to have the better of it, eventually finding an equaliser through Christian Eriksen’s free-kick. Making the most of a significant gap to the left of Juventus’ wall, the Dane fired a low shot towards the bottom corner of Buffon’s goal.

Yes, the legendary goalkeeper might have done better, but we doubt too many Spurs supporters will care too much.
