While Burnley try to find a successor to Dyche, the Clarets have embarked on a resurgence in form under caretaker boss Michael Jackson.
Jackson, who usually takes charge of the Under-23s squad, has overseen a run of seven points from three games and could even help take the Clarets five points clear of the relegation zone with a win against Watford on Saturday.
The caretaker manager, who is also being assisted by club captain Ben Mee, has said he has spoken to the chairman, and the pair agreed to take it "one game at a time."
"[I’ve] had regular contact with the chairman," he said.
"It’s going to go one game at a time, it’s best to do it the way we’ve been doing. We think we’re in a good place and it suits what we’re doing at this moment."
Burnley are locked in a battle with Everton to avoid the final relegation spot - with Watford and Norwich City both seemingly already gone - and know that while they currently sit in 17th place, Frank Lampard's side have a game in hand on them and could leapfrog them with a win.
