Timo Werner ‘doesn’t understand’ support he gets from Chelsea fans despite bad form

Timo Werner has confessed that he "doesn't understand" why he receives the support he does from Chelsea fans. The German has struggled to hit the heights he reached in his native Germany with RB Leipzig and has scored just 12 times in 52 games for the Blues - missing several gilt-edged chances in front of goal. Despite his Stamford Bridge struggles, Werner has consistently received the backing from fans and currently has six goals in 18 appearances this season. During an interview with Sky Sports, the 25-year-old opened up about his time at Chelsea and admitted that he can't understand why supporters have been so patient with him, given his inconsistent goal return.
