The new Premier League season officially got underway on Friday night, with Manchester United winning 1-0 at home to Fulham thanks to a late strike from substitute Joshua Zirkzee on his debut.
Erik Ten Hag will be happy to get his third season as United boss underway with a win, and many of his fellow Premier League managers will be hoping for a similar result this weekend.
Arne Slot officially kicked off his succession to Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager yesterday with a comfortable 2-0 win over newly-promoted Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
Kieran McKenna's side looked sharp in the first half but failed to take any chances. A goal and an assist from Mohammed Salah in the second-half put the result to bed.
Elsewhere, Amadou Onana scored on his Aston Villa debut as they saw off Julen Lopetegui's Hammers 2-1 at London Stadium.
Bukayo Saka was the star man for Arsenal at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers. His goal and assist helped Mikel Arteta's side to a 2-0 victory to commence their campaign.
Fabian Hürzeler's Brighton impressed many with an emphatic 3-0 away win at Goodison Park. Kaoru Mitoma, Danny Welbeck and Simon Adingra were all on the scoresheet.
In the two other 3pm Saturday kick-off's Newcastle United saw off Southampton with a 1-0 win, while Nottingham Forest were held to a one-all draw by visitors Bournemouth at The City Ground.
Super Sunday returns this afternoon with two games scheduled that promise to provide goals.
Brentford play host to a Crystal Palace side who will be hoping midfielder Eberechi Eze can fill the creative void left by Michael Olise after his big money move to Bayern Munich.
That game kicks off at 2pm in West London.
Then, just down the road at Stamford Bridge, Enzo Maresca will get his Chelsea career underway against last year's title winners Manchester City.
