The taxi driver had reportedly drove Neuer and a friend from Odeonsplatz in Munich to an apartment complex in the Lehel district, with the 'keeper only realising he had left his wallet in the car the next day.
Neuer is rumoured to have spent '£340' (€400) to return it. German law dictates that anyone returning property worth £425 (€500) is entitled to five per cent of the value, and an additional three per cent for property worth anything over that, meaning that Hazir was owed only £29 (€34) for returning the wallet.
