Sheikh Jassim has said he has no ill feeling towards Manchester United after providing an update on whether or not he would reconsider another bid to buy the club.
The Qatari businessman pulled out of the running to buy the club, with INEOS founder and chief executive Sir Jim Ratcliffe now close to becoming a minority stakeholder, accquiring 25 per cent of United.
Although Ratcliffe will only own a quarter of the club, his day-to-day role will see him play a large role in how the club is run as well as there being a view to the 71-year-old purchasing more shares.
Sky Sports have since reported that Jassim - who's takeover bid was a process that lasted over 10 months - has no plans to reignite his interest in buying in the club.
It's been reported that the process cost him millions of pounds in legal costs to structure the bid - something he knew before beginning the pursuit.
Currently, it remains unclear as to when the United board will ratify Ratcliffe's bid.
Once completed, Ratcliffe will then take control on all of the Red Devils' sporting issues however the Glazers would still be present at the club despite the scale back in their involvement.
