Theo Hernandez and substitute Randal Kolo Muani scored for France as they ended Morocco's incredible World Cup run by becoming the first African nation to reach the World Cup semi finals.
For one l̶u̶c̶k̶y̶ unlucky fan he thought Argentina reaching the final would bring him one step closer to landing a huge lump sum of winnings should Messi and co emerge victorious.
However, to his dismay and his friend's joy, he had placed the bet on the wrong Argentina, who don't begin their rugby union World Cup campaign until next year and are ranked as heavy outsiders.
His friend posted his error on Twitter. "My mate thought he had Argentina to win the World Cup the whole tournament, I thought the odds were too good to be true, turns out he betted on the Rugby World Cup," followed by several laughing emojis.

Should France win the World Cup they will become the first European nation to defend their crown whereas Argentina could win the trophy for the first time since 1986.
